1. Winners are not afraid of losing but losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.

People who are successful are the ones who see the failure as an opportunity to learn. Many successful people today credits the failures in their life for their success.

2. If you want to go somewhere,it is best to find someone who has already been there.

Choosing a mentor takes you a step forward. But you have to choose your mentors wisely.
Kiyosaki explains this through an example, he says if you decide you are going to climb Mount Everest next year, obviously you'd seek advice from someone who had climbed the Mountain before. However, when it comes to climbing financial mountains, most people ask advice from people who are also personally stuck in financial problems.

3. Never say you cannot afford something. That is a poor man's attitude. Ask how to afford it.

"I can't afford it" shut down your brain. It didn't have to think anymore.
"How can I afford it?" Opened up the brain. Force it to think and search for answers.
Robert also says, "I can't afford it" brings up sadness and helplessness. " How can I afford it" opens up possibilities, excitement and dreams.

This is one of the flaw among many others that are in the current education system.
Robert Kiyosaki has presented his unique thinking and ways to improve the current educational system in his book "If you want to be rich and happy, don't go School".
I would highly recommend you reading this book to get a new perspective about education system and life in general.

5.   The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire, the size of your dreams; and how you handle disappointment along the way.

Handling disappointment is a part of the process of success. We all feel upset and disappointed when things do not go our way.
Robert advises to be prepared for the disappointment.
By being emotionally prepared, you can act with calm and dignity when things do not go your way. If you're calm, you can think better.

8. The most successful people in life are the ones who ask questions. They're always learning. They 're always growing. They're always pushing.

As Robert says, " Great opportunities are not seen with your eyes. They are seen with your mind".

14.  The primary difference between Rich people and Poor people is how they handle fear of losing money.

17. I find so many people struggling often working harder, simply because they cling to old ideas. They want things to be the way they were, they resist change.
I know people who are losing their jobs or their houses and they blame technology or the economy or their boss. Sadly they fail to realize that they might be the problem. Old ideas are their biggest liability. It is a liability simply because they fail to realize that while the ides or way of doing something was an asset yesterday, yesterday is gone.

21. Learn to use your emotions to think, not think with your emotions.

Kiyosaki says to be an observer, asking yourself questions " What is causing the emotion?" People usually react to their emotions instead of thinking what is causing the emotions.
By reacting to their emotions, they are letting the emotions do their thinking.
